This CASA BURMESTER classic is carefully aged in small oak casks and blended with a great deal of expertise. The result is a highly delicate and fresh wine, magnificently incorporating exuberant and enduring aromas.
Location - Terraced vineyards in the centre of the Douro Demarcated Region.
Soil - Graywacke schist complex.
Exposure - North winds, facing South.
Varieties - Touriga Franca, Tinta Amarela, Touriga Nacional, Souzão, Tinta Barroca and Tinta Roriz.

Average age of Vines - 22 to 25 years.
Average annual Yield - 38 hl/ha.
Winemaking - Fermented at 28ºC in traditional granite treading tanks where it is trodden by foot for two days, with partial de-stemming, then naturally fortified with grape spirit (77% vol) - 80% must and 20% spirit - at Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo.
Ageing - In the Vila Nova de Gaia lodges, the wines from several years are aged in 550l oak casks and later blended in oak vats to obtain a 10 year old Port. Gently filtered before bottling.

Alc / Vol - 20% Volatile Acidity - 0.66gr/l pH-3.65 Baumé - 4.2º Dry Extract - 34 gr/l.
20 Year Old Tawny Porto
This Fine Old Tawny Porto has been carefully aged in small oak casks and blended with all the skill that 250 years of tradition brings. The result is à wine of great delicacy and freshness together with enduring and exuberant flavours.

Appearance - Deep tawny. On the Nose - Aromas of dried fruits (hazlenuts, almonds), vanilla, morello cherries and jams, creating an elegant and complex wine.
In the mouth - Balanced and full bodied, sweet, with fruity schents of plums and citrines. Dry fruits mark the rich and lengthy finish.
Storage, Serving, Drinking and Food
Storage - Store upright in a dark, cool place (14º to 16ºC). Serving - Should be served at a temperature of 16ºC, in the Burmester tulip glass or an OIV - approved tasting glass.
Drinking - It is best drunk the day the bottle is opened, but will keep for some time. Food - Serve with sweet desserts based on dried fruits and rich in egg yolks.
